The Pride Center of Staten Island's Transgender Day of Remembrance event serves to raise public awareness of hate crimes against transgender people and to publicly honor the lives of our brothers and sisters who might otherwise be forgotten.

This day of remembrance gives our allies a chance to step forward with us and remember those of who have died by anti-transgender violence and empower our community.

Please join us Saturday November 19th from 11:30am until 4:30 pm for a day filled with community, honor and friendship.

The events for the day:
11:30 am-1:30 pm: Film Screening
1:35-2 pm: Community Meal
2:10-2:40 pm: Rememberance Ceremony
2:40-4:30 pm: Empowerment Mic & Rememberance/Empowerment Ornament Creation

This event will be followed by the Pride Center's Annual Holiday Decorating and Cookie Swap event, 4:30-6:30 pm.
